Finally Home

Lived stranded,
for far too long,

accepting,
all that came along

until I met you!

The moment I set eyes on you
is the only moment I’ve lived
in a long long time

A nice warm feeling it was,
and I was cold and numb

this far, I had nowhere to go
But now, I was finally home

A feeling like those
of revisiting old photos
like walking in the fields
you once did
as a kid

Like the first touch, the first kiss,
like snow melting
on your skin

Nothing else mattered
because I knew I  had found
what my heart had longed for.

I was finally home.

    1. I am a fan of Ghalib sahab. My dad used to read me his poems when I was young. Have such profound memories.

  2. Good morning…for me home is most dearest and loved place even than the seven wonders of the world…there are sweet and unforgettable memories etched in its every nook and cranny.

It would very painful to leave it as it happens in life of every girl …hope you understand what i mean.
