Let’s have tea
under the shade
of the mulberry
under the sweet rustling
of its lush leaves
♥
Let’s have tea
no excuses, just you and me
pour me a hot cup
stir the lumps to nothingness
while the wind blows it reckless
♥
Let’s have tea
blended with brisk silences
exuding steaming differences
sip after sip, let’s gulp down
the misunderstandings
♥
Let’s have tea
words won’t come easy
but affections become one
long lost years
languidly come undone

Hi Kayla, I was down with a bout of Typhoid. Really bad. Slowly getting back. I totally missed this. But yes, I want to submit. Is it still on or am I too late?

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that! I’m glad you are doing a bit better.
You can still submit! There are three days left in the conversation. Just go to my profile, click the Poetry Contest blog post, read the rules, and submit your poem in the contest 😀

Just ordered 3 new pu’erh teas. Got so excited that I started looking at blog posts tagged with “Tea” and found this! Wonderful post! I’ve been drinking Yerba Mate.

Mad with the Diwali preparations at home, and the deadlines at work. It’s going to last another week.

Though I don’t read many (which I should, by the way) but a poem like this soothes me. I admire you for writings like these are hard to find and you know it. Don’t want to sound overwhelmingly sweet so I will put the period here.🙂

Our ornamental mulberry tree is lush with fresh spring growth. It creates a beautiful natural pergola in our front yard. Perfect for those cups of tea – or…
